Zendure launches the first solar energy storage system for balconies

Zendure – one of the fastest growing energy technology startups based in Silicon Valley in the US, China and Japan – launches SolarFlow, the first plug-and-play solar energy storage system for balconies. Consisting of a photovoltaic hub and up to four batteries, SolarFlow is compatible with common balcony solar panels, allowing apartment and condo dwellers the ability to store valuable solar energy during the day and use it at night. The capacity of up to 3,840 Wh is enough to provide nighttime energy for a family of four – and all their critical devices and appliances – in a sustainable and economical way.
High energy prices are a financial burden for many, and demands for sustainability in everyday life are getting louder as more people turn to renewable energy sources and invest in their own photovoltaic (PV) systems to generate electricity independently. The German government also recognizes the need to support solar energy and recently made the purchase of solar systems and related electricity storage systems and inverters more affordable by exempting them from tax and saving consumers 19 percent. This benefits not only energy-conscious homeowners, but also apartment owners with balconies, along with rooftop and garden solar systems, who are looking for space-saving ways to store clean energy for use at night.
Solar energy tanks for balconies – independent of the manufacturer, easy to use and cost-effective
SolarFlow is a storage system for energy and cost conscious people. The storage system can be purchased as a complete package with a solar panel and microinverter from Zendure. Thanks to its compatibility with existing balcony solar panels on the market, it can also be used regardless of the manufacturer. Consumers who already have solar panels for the balcony and a microinverter can thus simply connect SolarFlow to their existing equipment using the MC4 connector. SolarFlow’s PV hub is equipped with an output power of 800 W as well as an intelligent battery management system, storing excess energy in the associated LFP batteries. In this way, SolarFlow prevents the waste of generated energy and makes it easily available at night. This can save consumers up to 32 percent of their annual energy costs.
SolarFlow is easy to use and can be installed, assembled and disassembled as a plug-and-play storage system with little effort. One battery has a capacity of 960 Wh and can be connected to up to three additional batteries by wireless stacking to expand to a maximum capacity of 3840 Wh. This makes it ideal for people who have an energy consumption of 2 to 4 kWh per night. SolarFlow comes with a robust metal housing and is IP65 waterproof, so consumers can place the storage system on a balcony, patio or garden – even a plot – and expose it to wet weather without worry. SolarFlow can also connect to a smartphone via Bluetooth, so owners can always monitor the PV Hub and check the battery charge level.
